Proof of Desire is Pursuit

Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Delight - to derive ones pleasure from God
Psalm 27:4 - One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.

Psalm 42:1-2 - As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Psalm 63:1 - O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

Philippians 3:8 - Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 ¶ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Give - to give, to grant, distribute -  not put the desires although I believe that too

Psalm 68:19 - Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah

Matthew 7:11 - If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Desires - requests, petitions, desires
Mark 11:22-24

I Corinthians 14:1

Heart - down deep
NO pursuit - either lack of faith, or absents of desire

Conclusion:

Mt 6:31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

John 15:7 - If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Dont allow trouble to lead or dictate your prayers... know your desires.

Egg Hunt, Easter Sunday, and more...

Greetings!

The greatest event in history is celebrated this weekend.

This is the time we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  This event is the very basis of our faith and the necessary requirement for our walk with God.  No other happening compares!

I want to encourage you to make this weekend special.  Why? Because it is special.  This should be the highest day in the Christian calendar.  If any day is celebrated, it should be this day.

Parents, make it special with your family.  Brothers and sisters in Christ make this special with your church.  Pastors make this special with your congregation.

Sure, we can remember this day everyday.  We need to make special effort to commemorate this every church service.  Yet, there should be something extra on this weekend to let everyone around know God did something for them they could not have done for themselves.

Please make it a point to come to church this Sunday, any church really... and bring someone with you.

People really get saved during Easter service.  We all know those who come Christmas and Easter only.  I call them CEO's, Christmas Easter Onlys.

Make no mistake though.  I have known several committed, active believers who started out as a CEO.  You just invite them, let the Holy Spirit do the work in their heart.

Healing Scriptures & Confessions

Healing Scriptures & ConfessionsGod's Medicine - A Daily Dose

Say these scriptures and confessions to yourself. Meditate on them. Ponder them in your heart. Use them in praise to your Heavenly Father. His Word is medicine to all your flesh!

Exodus 15:26
. . . If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Confession:
God is speaking to me now, saying, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." He is watching over His Word to perform it. He is the Lord that healeth me. He is healing me now. This Word contains the ability to produce what it says. His Word is full of healing power. I receive this Word now. Healing is God's nature. God is in me. My body is the temple of the Lord that healeth me. God is bigger than sickness and Satan. God is dwelling inside of me, healing me now.

Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Confession:
Ha, ha, ha! I have a merry heart. Sickness can't dominate me. What do you think you're trying to do, devil? You can't put sickness on me. I have a merry heart and I'm full of joy! Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Confession:
Surely Jesus hath borne my sicknesses and diseases and carried my pains. He bore them and carried them away to a distance. I don't have to bear what He bore for me. I refuse to bear what He bore for me. Satan cannot put on me what Jesus bore for me. By His stripes I am healed and made whole.

Matthew 8:16-17
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Confession:
Jesus Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. He carried away my sicknesses and diseases. He bore them away and removed them. Disease is not mine. Healing is mine. I refuse to bear what Jesus bore for me. Satan, you cannot put disease on me. I refuse to accept sickness. I will not tolerate sickness. Sickness and disease are totally unacceptable to me.

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed

(20th Century) . . . his bruising was your healing.

Confession: By Jesus' stripes I was healed. Healing belongs to me. I was healed 2,000 years ago by the stripes Jesus bore. I'm not trying to get healed. I've got healing, because by His stripes I was healed.
1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Confession: Sickness is the work of the devil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Sickness has been desolved, broken up, annulled, undone, and liquidated, as far as I am concerned. Jesus put sickness to and end for me.
