1 Timothy 6:12 NKJV
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses
Some people expect a walk by faith without a fight. That's just not possible .
To lay hold of eternal life means its not going to just fall into your lap. You have to rise up and get it! Fight for it.
I am not trying to be ugly but we have got to stop excusing our lack of receiving by being unwilling to fight. Then we blame God, when we did not fight for what He had given us.
Eternal life begins today. Everything God has made available to you is available right now. Eternal life begins today.
You lay hold of eternal life by faith. But faith is a fight. To expect a walk by faith and not have a fight is a set up for disaster.
This verse tells us we must fight a good fight of faith by confessing a good confession. That means you're going to keep confessing your faith. That's how you fight.
Therefore you fight the fight of faith by maintaining your confession laying hold of eternal life.
Sounds simple yet not easy on the flesh. You and I need to stay in the Word of God and in the Holy Spirit.
