Voice of God: Avoid Spiritual Manipulation

Disobeying what God has spoke to you will cost you.

Two Characters: Man of God and a Prophet.

Man of God was told to do something. He did it. God also told him what he was not to do.

So a prophet came to the man of God. The prophet convinced the man of God to turn from what was told him by God. This was going to be a grave mistake.

Notice how the prophet turned the heart of the man of God: spiritual manipulation. He declared himself as being a prophet. Then the prophet stated a supernatural sign (an angel spoke to me...) was proof of this change in the man of Gods plans.

It seems to me that the man of God was intimidated by the old prophet.

Over the years, I have had many question what I heard from God.  Getting input and having it judged by wise friends is safe practice.  It can help confirm or at least challenge you to verify you heard correctly.

Its those people who try to control you through pulling rank or removing relationship that do the most damage.

Simple truth: Once you know what God has told you never allow anyone to turn you from it.

Paul said this in Galatians 1:8 AMP

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to and different from that which we preached to you, let him be accursed (anathema, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)!

IMPORTANT: Everything God has told you needs to line up with the Word of God (Bible) or its not from God.

I Kings 13:18 AMP

He answered, I am a prophet also, as you are. And an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied to him.

We love you.
Be blessed.
