This Memorial Day weekend is also Pentecost Sunday.
In Acts 2 a powerful event happened on this great Jewish feast. Many had been praying and seeking God as Jesus told them.
Jesus said in Acts 1:8, that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon on them. This power would enable them to become witnesses for Him around the world.
Suddenly there was a heavenly sound, rushing wind and tongues of fire. They were all filled and spoke in tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance.
The Church was born. They were powerful, dynamic and effective. I believe that is still available today.
When we receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are able to walk in the power of, pray in partnership with and love with passion of Holy Spirit. You will never be the same.
Many churches find this to be divisive. The Baptism with the Holy Spirit does not have be divisive, but it is distinctive. We are going to lay out the Biblical foundation behind this experience.
This Sunday we are beginning a 4 Part series on the Holy Spirit. This Sunday we are going to lay out the doctrine of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. Is it in the Bible? Is it for today? What about tongues? and more!
Not only are we looking at the doctrine of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, but we are believing for the demonstration as well.
You dont want to miss this.
