He Calls You Friend

 

And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believedGod, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."  And he was called the friend of God.  James 2:23

What a high thought!  "Friend of God."

I have included last weeks discussion of the Blessing of Abraham.  Why?  

Dont miss this... the fact that Abraham believed God would BLESS him resulted in him being called Gods friend.  To believe God in such a way as to be identified with God as His Friend.

As Christians we are called to love everyone.  As a pastor, I love the people God has called me to lead.  Of course we love our families, right?

Yet, not everyone has the same access to us.  Some people we enjoy being around more than others.  Many even have blood family that they want to go to heaven, but don't want to hang around here on earth.

Social media has latched on to this concept and created multi-billion dollar companies.

Those who have access to us; who we enjoy being around are those we call friends.  We have things in common.  We enjoy being around them.  We delight in our times together.  

Abraham believed God... was called a friend of God.

1.  Spiritual - righteousness, hearing the Voice of God, answered prayer

You Attract The Blessing In Your Life

Those words rang in my spirit recently while at a prayer meeting. I was praying for someone when the Holy Spirit said to declare that based on Psalm 23:6.

The Message Bible the goodness and mercy "...chase after me every day of my life."  That does something for my faith.

People are living with a mind-set of rejection. Expecting bad things. Looking for trouble to raise its ugly head. Bracing for the next storm. Fearing their relationship be froth with negativity.

They think they attracting the curse instead of the blessing. That somehow curses chase them and the blessings run from them.

Bad things do happen. God never promised us a life without trouble. Storms happen. Relationships fail. All a result of original sin.

Yet this verse gives us a simple revelation. While we pass through the "valley of shadow of death" we attract the blessing. The "goodness" and the "mercy" of God are chasing you.

You can renew your mind and release your faith to the fact that God's Blessing is chasing you.

Confession: I declare based on Psalm 23:6, goodness and mercy follow me. Today, I am attracting the blessing in my life. Thank You, Jesus!

The Enemy Wants To Devour Your Miracle At Birth

Satan wants to destroy your miracle from the very start. Don't be shocked.

Below is the riveting story found in Revelation 12 about the Woman, the Child and the devil.

There are many prophecy scholars who can put this in context as it relates to end times. The story is very pivotal to what God is doing in the earth today. This story is better than any sci-fi story the world has to offer.

Locked up in this story is a revelation of how the enemy works against the saints and against what God is birthing in their lives.

The woman had conceived the Child with holy seed and has carried the unborn Child full-term. Then it becomes time for her to deliver this Child. While the woman is in labor, the dragon positions himself to devour the Child as soon as it born.

This is exactly how the enemy works. He is constantly positioning himself to devour what God is doing in your life as soon as you are about give birth. That is when his greatest attacks are unleashed.

You see it elsewhere in scriptures. As soon as Adam and Eve begin their life, the serpent comes and tempts them to sin. When Moses was born, Egypt begins killing baby boys. Even when Jesus was born the slaughter of little boys happened again. This is the method of operation of the enemy.

The events of a miracle go like this. You receive the Word seed until your miracle has been conceived. Then you carry it by standing on the Word of God, confessing you have your miracle while its waiting to manifest. Its getting bigger and bigger on the inside of you.

Then all of a sudden when your are about to walk in manifestation of the miracle something happens. A gossiping person rises up. A spirit of infirmity hits you. A financial set back occurs.

What happened? Satan is trying to devour your miracle. How?

The attack is meant to discourage you. The enemy knows if he can get you into strife, question God, distract you the miracle will be aborted.

POINT: While pregnant with your miracle, don't get discouraged when the enemy re-positions himself. It only means you are about to give birth!

REMEMBER: V. 5 says when the Child was born He was caught up to God and His Throne. The Child accomplished His purpose. Stay focused on God and remain in faith; your miracle will accomplish its purpose in your life too.

Revelation 12 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.  3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

Faith Connects Us To Supernatural

Faith connects you to the supernatural.

Faith is not a generational message, genre of teaching or a denomination.

Faith is how we live. (Hab. 2:4, Rom. 1:17, Gal. 3:11, Heb. 10:38)

Faith is always under attack. Paul would have to defend the message of faith to the churches in his letters. Today, the same defense is necessary.

Paul's defense to provide the value of faith is interesting: the supernatural. The supernatural working of God was so plentiful that Paul used it to prove the value of hearing faith. The supernatural was not a rare occurrence, but normal reality. Paul was making a statement not asking a question.

The church being still young had supernatural results in abundance but did not know why. I have seen that many times. Young (new) Christians get powerful results yet know nothing.

But as we grow and mature its important we get understanding of how God works: Faith. This is not a destination but rather a journey. We grow yet never arrive in the flesh.

Notice: the supernatural power of God (supply of the Spirit & working of miracles) is released by hearing of faith.

POINT:

The supernatural power of God manifest in our lives can be just as plentiful as it was in their lives. It was by the hearing of faith for them... as it is for us.

A continual hearing and steadfast adherence to Faith in Christ connects you to the supernatural power of God.

Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Galatians 3:5 NKJV

Then does He Who supplies you with His marvelous [Holy] Spirit and works powerfully andmiraculously among you do so on [the grounds of your doing] what the Law demands, or because of your believing in and adhering to and trusting in and relying on the message that you heard? Galatians 3:5 AMP
